Sometimes, as a writer, you come across a song that almost perfectly encapsulates a character. This is one of those songs for me. It makes me squirm a bit in happiness because it feels so much like Maren, the narrator of Surgeburnt ... not just the lyrics, but the dark, eerie nature of the melody and instrumentation.

- I'm a professional harp performer, chef / pastry chef, and speculative fiction writer from Cincinnati, Ohio.
