The Swan Maiden
This story sold to Port Iris Magazine (http://www.portiris.com/). First issue isn't (quite) up, and The Swan Maiden will be in the second. Nifty-looking site, so I'm psyched.
It's about a young woman in a (pseudo) Victorian enclave forced to confront the madwoman who lives on the lake ... and discern just how much of her story really IS madness.
Much thematic inspiration from "Song of the Swan Maiden" from the group Golden Bough - not a traditional tune, but written in that style by member Maggie Butler.
Congrats! I love the title. What's it about?
ReplyDeleteGoshdarnit, I hate that question. ;-)
